DNA Hybrid Solutions: Warranty Disqualification Terms & Conditions

The following conditions constitute a breach of the service agreement and will result in the immediate and permanent voiding of all warranty coverage without a refund.

 Usage & Operation Requirements

  • The "Stationary" Rule: Coverage is void if the vehicle remains stationary or unoperated for 14 or more consecutive days. To maintain battery chemistry, the vehicle must be operated for at least 45 minutes every 13 days.

  • Mileage Boundaries: The vehicle must be driven a minimum of 5,500 miles annually. Mileage will be prorated from the date of installation.

  • Reporting Discrepancies: Any evidence of inaccurate mileage reporting or discrepancies between the odometer and reliable sources (Carfax, DMV records, etc.) will void the warranty.

Technical & Mechanical Compliance

  • Pre-existing Faults: Failure to repair or replace a faulty "combination meter" (dashboard display issues) prior to or at the time of service voids the warranty.

  • Engine Health: Warranty does not cover batteries paired with vehicles suffering from poor engine performance, fuel depletion, or oil depletion.

  • Ancillary Codes: The customer is required to address all non-battery diagnostic fault codes provided at the time of installation. Failure to do so voids the coverage.

  • Warning Lights: Warranty replacements require a formal diagnosis and specific diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) from a certified repair shop or dealership.

Tampering & Modifications

  • Security Seals: Removal, tearing, or tampering with the DNA Hybrid Solutions quality control/tamper-proof stickers or any DNA Hybrid Solutions security seals will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Unauthorized Access: The hybrid battery must not be opened, modified, or tampered with by any third party or the owner.

  • Aftermarket Accessories: Installation of unauthorized aftermarket accessories or modifications to the hybrid system will void the policy.

 Environmental & External Damage

  • Storage & Handling: Warranty does not cover damage occurring after delivery, improper handling by third parties, or storage exceeding 30 days.

  • Environmental Exposure: Coverage is void in cases of exposure to chemicals, excessive moisture, or damage caused by pests (rodents, insects, etc.).

  • Acts of God: Damage resulting from accidents, water/flooding, fire, extreme temperatures, or acts of nature (force majeure) is not covered.

Financial & Administrative Terms

  • Payment Default: If payment is not made in full within 14 days of the service date, the warranty is deemed null and void.

  • Non-Reimbursable Costs: This warranty covers parts only. Diagnostic expenses, towing, rental cars, or labor charges for batteries shipped to third-party installers are not reimbursed.

Final Compliance Note:

"DNA Hybrid Solutions guarantees its product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use. If a battery is determined to be defective by DNA Hybrid Solutions during the warranty period, we will—at our discretion—repair or provide a replacement based on the diagnostic trouble codes indicating hybrid battery failure."

Warranty Coverage Terms & Conditions

What is Specifically Covered

  • Module Balancing: If a module falls out of voltage balance causing a system code (P0A80, P3011–P3024), we will replace the faulty cell and re-balance the pack.

  • Internal Hardware: All bus bars, nuts, and wiring harnesses replaced by us are covered against failure.

  • Labor: 100% of the labor to remove and reinstall the battery is covered.

What is NOT Covered

  • The 12V Auxiliary Battery: This warranty is for the High Voltage (HV) battery only. A failing 12V battery can throw "hybrid codes"—if the 12V is found to be the culprit, a diagnostic fee will apply.

  • Loss of MPG: While our batteries are renewed to high standards, we do not guarantee a specific Miles Per Gallon (MPG) return, as this is heavily influenced by tire pressure, driving habits, and engine health.

  • Incidental Costs: We do not cover towing, rental cars, or lost wages due to a vehicle being down for warranty repair.

Required Maintenance Schedule

To keep this warranty active, the owner must agree to:

  • Bi-Annual Fan Check: Inspect the battery intake vent every 6 months (especially if you have pets).

  • Drive Regularly: Operate the vehicle for at least 20 minutes twice a week to ensure the pack remains at a healthy state of charge.
